At the centre of the piece is a small reference to the kumihimo knot — a symbol of connection, respect, and unity. In Japanese culture, kumihimo represents the gathering of threads and the binding of meaningful relationships, often shared as a wish for strength and good fortune. It was a fitting tribute for a stone gifted to encourage her next steps in life.
